Casting

When doing the casting, we have tried to give everyone his/her preferred role. In a few cases this was not possible. There were 2 teams of 5 people that wanted to play as team, that we had to split up. In both cases the people are allocated to adjacent armies, (the Army of Berlin and Army of the Elbe for the team from Switzerland and the Army of Silesia and the Army of Poland for the team from Apeldoorn). As you can see, we are still lacking participants for the war council. There were also some people added to the game during the week in Braunfels.

Remarks

As you can see in the above table, the armies of the 6th coalition were composed of many nationalities which of course had its impact on communication as well as in orders. Russia still used the Julian Calender while all others used the Gregorian Calender. You can see that some have been given the role 'Staff', when there is no specific leader for that part (Where we knew, we assigned the role and title).

The title for the Tsar is correct. Officially it is the Emperor (Tsar) and Autocrat of all the Russias, reflecting that he rules over many lands and territories. You may be astonished to see that we refer to Emperor Franz II of Austria as Franz II. The problem is that he is Franz II as Holy Roman Emperor until 1806 when the Holy Roman Empire was dissolved and he was Franz I of the newly founded Austrian Empire.
